G.A.M.E. Plans!

A Game Plan is a plan that a person makes for themselves. The plan has several peices to it.

The "G" stands for "Goal" a person must set a goal for themselves, something that is measurable. For example- I will earn all A's this marking period, or I will earn 50 AR points for reading. A goal is something that you work towards and can be a difficult task, but not impossible.

The "A"- stands for action. Action is what you will have to do or action you will have to take to reach your goal. For example, "1. I will study each night. 2. I will turn all my assignments in on time. 3. I will ask for help in math to raise that grade. 4. I will try my best on each assignment I do." Usually the action involes several steps....like the example did.

The "M" stands for monitor- basically, how will you monitor yourself and make sure you are doing what you are suppose to? For example, each week I will check my grades and print off my current grades for each subject, or I will keep a tally of all my graded assignments I get back from my teacher.

The "E" stands for evaluate- this answers the question- "How will I evaluate myself" or see if  I reached my goal? For example, I will get a report of my marking period grades and see how I did, and if I did not reach my goal I will reflect on how I can do better next time.

Today, you must make a GAME plan! Think of a REAL goal that you want to achieve this marking period, we will make a new GAME plan each marking period this year. You can type your GAME plan on a work document and print for Mrs. Tubergan. See below example of how if should be formatted.

G- My goal is to be stop bullying in my school.
A- My action is 1. Make others aware of what bullying is. 2. I will listen closely to others and keep a look out for mean actions. 3. I will take a stand and help others to recgonize bullying and help them stop it too. 4. I will  stand up to bullies and tell an adult when I need to.
M- I will monitor myself by keeping a journal and writing down different bullying instances that I stopped, and I will give my classmates and survey about bullying to see if it has decreased.
E- evaluate- I will evaluate myself by tallying bullying and see if I hear or see bullying taking place, if I do still I will continue to work with my classmates on more ways to stop bullying.
